I am investigating how neurons in the developing brain acquire a phenotype, meaning how they come to express the appropriate receptors and chemicals that are necessary for the formation of a functional nervous system. Calcium activity, or changes in the concentration of calcium ions within a cell, plays a role in determining this neural phenotype.

Future Plans: I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in Molecular Neuroscience. My goal is to conduct basic biomedical and pharmacological research.
Hobbies: Reading, writing screenplays, hiking
