For my project, I am designing a synthesis of the molecule, Aristopyridinone A, using new chemistry to make the core structure. The molecule is found in a herb used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and could have potential anti-inflammatory or other medicinal properties.
The Honors Fellowship allows me to focus on my research over the summer and dedicate all of my time towards my project.
