My project studies a signal tranduction pathway called CrdRS that plays a somewhat unknown role in helping H. pylori infect and colonize in the human stomach. Since H. pylori is responsible for causing gastrointestinal illnesses and even cancers, my project will provide important data that will contribute towards developing novel drugs to treat H. pylori infections.
Hometown: Shreveport, Louisiana
Future Plans: I plan to take a gap year after graduating from college to get some clinical and more research experience. I will eventually apply to an MD or PhD program to pursue a career in clinical science.
Hobbies: reading, swimming, traveling, volunteering
Fun Fact: I was born in China and came to America when I was 12.
