When “texisse”  and “nudare”  are not a contradiction: Sulpicia’s Nuanced Approach to Erotic Language

I will be analyzing the poetry of the Roman author Sulpicia, who used her status as a woman to reinvent an otherwise male genre and who received very little scholarly attention until the late 20th century.

Fun Fact: I have an unreasonable love of sharp kitchen knives, and also of cutting vegetables really, really fast.
