The German Regiment was a unit of the Continental Army raised from the ethnic German populations of Pennsylvania and Maryland during the Revolutionary War. I will be looking at why the German Regiment was raised, its men, precedents for ethnic regiments in early modern Western armies, and its first campaign in late 1776 and early 1777.

Hobbies: I enjoy being in the outdoors, in particular, I like hiking, camping, and sailing. I am also currently the President of William and Mary’s Revolutionary War Reenacting Club, the College Company.
