The William and Mary Honors Fellowships provide a new way to support the intellectual community at the College through contributions to undergraduate research projects.
Step One: Find a Project
Browse through the student research projects on GiveCampus or using the menus on the top and select a project you are interested in learning more about. Students applying for an Honors Fellowship work closely with their faculty advisors to help them craft their research proposals and theses.
If you would like to support the Honors Fellowships as a whole, please consider giving to the W&M Honors Fellowships General Fund. Gifts to this fund will be distributed among the student projects by the Director of the Charles Center.
Step Two: Fund the Research
Enter a gift amount and help fund students’ research. Gifts of all sizes are welcome. A fully funded William & Mary Honors Fellowship includes:
- $4,000 to the student for 10 full-time weeks of summer pre-honors research
- $1,000 for the student to use for project-related expenses
- $1,000 for the student’s faculty supervisor, to support his or her research
Step Three: Follow the Progress
Keep abreast of the students’ work as they document their experiences and discoveries at the Process of Undergraduate Research Website.
Step Four: Spread the Word!
Share a particular project by telling your friends, family, or fellow alumni and post it onto your favorite social networking platform (like Facebook).
